December has a way of revealing where our hope truly rests. The month carries joy for some and heaviness for others, and most of us feel a mixture of both. As we close out the year, this reading plan focuses on Hope in Christ!
One thing I want you to be confident about is that the hope we have in Jesus is not shallow or built on our circumstances but is the kind of hope that Scripture calls “a sure and steadfast anchor.”
The storms of life may rage, but your foundation is built upon the Rock, Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In these times of uncertainty, we can find peace and assurance in His promises because the hope we have in Him remains consistent. This is the hope we're turning our minds and hearts toward this month.
Throughout this month's Bible reading plan, you’ll notice passages that echo the same truth in different ways: God keeps His word, God remembers His people, and God finishes what He starts.
One of the readings comes from Luke’s account of Simeon, a man who waited his entire life for a promise God had spoken long before he was born. But when he saw Christ, his hope was fulfilled in a moment.
Remember, God does not forget what He said. We may not see the full picture yet, but we are not waiting without purpose. Our hope is grounded in the character of a faithful God.

As a community, we’re spending this month letting Scripture realign our expectations, comfort our hearts, and prepare us for a new year.
Use the plan at your own pace. Ask the Lord to help you understand what you’re reading. Before you begin each day, say to yourself, “My hope is in Christ alone.” That truth has the power to settle your mind and strengthen you for whatever the month holds.
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
“But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.”
“I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.”
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
I’m grateful you’re here. My hope is that this plan gives you space to hear from God, settle your heart, and stay connected to Him throughout the month.
