Bible verse

Each week, I share a short passage of Scripture for the Bible Time for Busy Women community to focus on together. There are no assignments, worksheets, or deadlines. You simply open your Bible, read the passage, and spend time thinking about what God may be showing you through His Word.

This week, we're reading Psalm 121.

These verses have encouraged me for years. They help us to remember where our strength and help come from. You may have many things in front of you right now— responsibilities, decisions, worries, and challenges you didn’t expect. In the middle of all of that, Psalm 121 can turn your attention back to God, a present help who never stops watching over His people.

As you read this passage throughout the week, pay attention to how often God's protection, care, and faithfulness are mentioned. He wants to reveal His divine character to you through this passage. So, consider what they teach you about trusting Him during both ordinary days and difficult seasons in your walk of faith.

Read the passage all at once, a few verses at a time, or bookmark it and come back to it several times throughout the week. There’s no wrong way to approach it. Just spend time in God's Word.

Read the Passage

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."

Psalm 121:1-8

What We’re Discussing

• What does this passage teach you about God's care for His people?

• What promise in this passage brings you encouragement right now?

• What does the word "keeper" mean in these verses?

You Can Always Turn to Jesus

Where do you usually turn when moments in your life become hard, and how does knowing Psalm 121 help with the situation?

Next week, we'll spend time in another passage of the Bible together. Keep reading, praying, and making room for God's Word in your everyday life.

Praying for you,
